The Discovery initiative is focused on young children from birth through age eight. To improve early school success, it takes a comprehensive approach to supporting young children and families.

Research and ideas for enhancing children's transition to kindergarten. Includes examples of effective transition strategies and ways to think about transition issues. The Connecticut Center for School Change is the technical assistance provider to Discovery for the kindergarten transition topic. CCSC runs sessions, provides research and has designed a Kindergarten Transition Institute for Discovery community collaborators.

	Early Literacy Framing Document This report, produced by the Graustein Memorial Fund, brings together literature related to areas relevant to the discussion of early literacy. It is intended to provide the education field with a broad view of research available brought together into a cohesive programmatic framework that will help in building comprehensive early literacy strategies. The report includes a matrix of early literacy programs and indication of evaluation availability related to these approaches.
